The UT Lead Experience

UT Lead has been one of the greatest experiences of my college life. We have only been here for about two and a half weeks and I have already managed to make new friends. This program has taught me many different skills that I would surely need to help me succeed in my future endeavors. They took us to an etiquette dinner where we learned proper table etiquette so that when we go to fancy dinners with our bosses we won't look like fools. We also went white water rafting which taught us a lot about teamwork and how if we do things in a group we can overcome many different situations than a group of individuals. I have learned how to manage money, stay focused in class, and how to break down social barriers in a community in countless workshops and presentations throughout the program. I hope that many more students get to have the experiences that I have so that they too can learn to survive college and life.

Career Services

The experience of going to Career Services was great. The environment and people made me feel welcomed and happy to come and learn about my major. I liked how helpful the speaker was because she had an answer to all of our questions. I liked every part of the experience except wen I got my career scores back it said I would be a farmer which is far from what I want to do. I felt like that was an experience I wouldn't mind doing again because knowing more and more about my career only makes me more prepared than others who haven't had this experience.

What Stands Out About College?

When I think about college the size and difficulty of it really stand out. The campus is huge and holds over thousands of students. All of the space makes me feel like an ant in a world full of skyscrapers. College is kind of strenuous and will push your brain to the limit. It is filled with nothing but papers, papers, papers, and occasionally sleep if you every make it to that point.
